Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) recently published a notification (No. PRO/543/2012-13) for inviting application from Individual Professionals for the following positions for the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) for JnNURM -BSUP.

Social Development Officer – 01 Post

Require Qualification and Experience:

• Master or Doctoral degree in Social Science, with experience of working in urban areas
• 5 to 10 years experience in a responsible position in issues relating to urban poor/slum dwellers
• Experience in designing & conducting socio economic surveys/ social development projects in the field of education, health, community mobilization, poverty alleviation etc.
• Training in organizational behavior and management of change processes
• Any earlier involvement with JnNURM will be added advantage

Livelihoods Development Specialist – 01 Post

Require Qualification and Experience:

• Degree in Sociology/Social Work/Communication
• 5 to 10 years experience in a responsible position in issues relating to urban poor/slum dwellers.
• Experience in designing and conducting socio economic surveys/ social development projects in the field of education, health, community mobilization, poverty alleviation, monitoring evaluation etc.
• Any earlier involvement with JnNURM will be added  advantage
